Eastern Air Command Chief Pays Tribute to Fallen Soldiers in Shillong

Air Marshal Inderpal Singh Walia, AOC-in-C of the Eastern Air Command, visited the Assam Rifles War Memorial at the Directorate General of Assam Rifles headquarters in Shillong on August 17 and paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath. He also interacted with Assam Rifles personnel and appreciated their professionalism, dedication and operational preparedness in the challenging Northeast region.

During the visit, Deputy Commandant Angam Zimik, Warrant Officer Aswini Patgiri and Rifleman Virendra Singh were awarded the AOC-in-C, Eastern Air Command Commendation Card for their commendable performance and service. The visit highlighted both the sacrifices of fallen personnel and the dedication of troops currently serving the nation.
