Assam–Meghalaya Vehicular Movement Restored

Normal vehicular movement between Assam and Meghalaya, as well as within Meghalaya, has been restored after days of tension and road blockades. Assam Minister Atul Bora said the development followed discussions between the Meghalaya government and organisations involved in the protests.
Bora thanked the chief ministers of both states and all stakeholders for helping restore normalcy. He stressed that Assam and Meghalaya share deep cultural, economic and people-to-people ties, calling for continued peace, harmony and cooperation between the two neighbouring states.
