Assam Minister Orders Action Against Delayed Contractors

GUWAHATI: Assam Soil Conservation Minister Aswini Ray Sarkar has directed officials to take strict action, including blacklisting where necessary, against contractors who fail to complete government projects within the stipulated time.

Reviewing departmental schemes and pending works, Sarkar stressed transparency, accountability and proper utilisation of public funds, while directing officials to speed up delayed projects for public benefit.
