Assam CM Announces Flood Relief, Revival of Jibon Prerana

Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that interim financial assistance will soon be released to the remaining beneficiaries affected by the recent floods.

The government will also revive the ‘Jibon Prerana’ scheme, providing eligible graduates ₹2,500 per month for one year, with ₹118.6 crore allocated this year.

Under the CM-FLIGHT initiative, eligible students will receive ₹1 lakh in three instalments for foreign-language training, along with an additional ₹50,000 after placement.
