Man Dies After Coming in Contact With Overhead Wire at Kamakhya Railway Station

Guwahati: An unidentified man died after allegedly coming into contact with an overhead electric wire at Kamakhya Railway Station in Maligaon on Tuesday. The man reportedly climbed onto the engine of a moving train before coming in contact with the high-voltage wire.

The incident is believed to have caused an electrical short circuit, resulting in his death at the spot. Railway police, including senior officials, reached the station and began an investigation. Efforts are underway to establish the deceased’s identity and determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
