PepsiCo Inaugurates ₹750 Crore Food Plant in Nalbari

Nalbari: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday inaugurated PepsiCo India’s ₹750-crore food manufacturing facility at Banekuchi, marking a major industrial development for the district. The plant has begun producing potato chips using potatoes sourced from Assam.

The facility is expected to benefit around 5,000 farmers and create direct and indirect employment in agriculture, transportation, logistics and other sectors. The project is also expected to strengthen food processing and boost industrial activity across Lower Assam.
