NFR Conducts Water Quality Checks at Guwahati, Kamakhya Stations

Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) conducted water-quality tests at Guwahati and Kamakhya railway stations on September 21. Samples collected from passenger-use points were tested for various physical, chemical and bacteriological parameters, with the results remaining within the prescribed limits.

NFR said it regularly cleans water-storage tanks and maintains coolers, pipelines, taps and other water-supply facilities. Routine sampling, laboratory testing and residual-chlorine monitoring are also carried out to maintain safe and hygienic drinking water for passengers and railway personnel.
