Dr Hema Kanta Barua’s Book on Engineering Challenges Released in Guwahati

The book Dealing with Professional Challenges as an Engineer, authored by noted structural engineer and academic Dr Hema Kanta Barua, was formally released at a function on G.S. Road, Guwahati. Organised by Saumar Publications, Rukmini Nagar, the event was presided over by retired IAS officer Paramesh Dutta, while engineer Thagit Nahardeka attended as the chief guest.

Former colleagues, students and well-wishers shared their experiences and highlighted Dr Barua’s contributions to engineering and education. The book draws on his decades of professional and academic experience, reflecting on the responsibilities, challenges and dedication required throughout an engineer’s career.
