Severed Head of Naga Man Recovered in Manipur Five Days After Killing

Kangpokpi: Security forces recovered the severed head of Ajinpou Ringkamai, a Naga man allegedly killed by suspected Kuki armed men in Makui village of Manipur’s Kangpokpi district on October 10. A joint team of the CRPF and Manipur Police recovered the remains from an area near the incident site on Wednesday and later shifted them to the JNIMS mortuary in Imphal.

The recovery followed demands by Naga organisations for the missing remains. The Joint Tribes Council had also suspended the post-mortem examinations of two victims, demanding the recovery of the head and action against those allegedly involved. The allegations against the named individuals have not been independently established.
