Amit Shah Praises Assam Police for Anti-Drug Crackdown

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Assam Police for their crackdown on drug networks, resulting in 945 arrests, 547 cases and narcotics seizures worth over Rs 182 crore.

Shah said action had been taken against 703 identified drug hotspots, while property attachment worth nearly Rs 31 crore was underway. He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and their financial foundations under the Nasha Mukt Bharat vision.
