Sonu Nigam Apologises to Kannadigas Ahead of Bengaluru Concert

BENGALURU: Singer Sonu Nigam has apologised to Kannadigas over his controversial remarks linking a request for a Kannada song to the Pahalgam terror attack. In a video message, he expressed regret for any hurt caused and said he valued the love and respect he had received from Karnataka over the past 30 years.

The apology came after pro-Kannada organisation Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) urged police to deny permission for his October 24 concert and threatened protests. The incident dates back to April 2025, when Nigam made the remarks during a performance at a college in Bengaluru. He is scheduled to perform at Bhartiya Mall of Bengaluru on Thanisandra Main Road as part of his Revolution India Tour.
