CyberStrikeAI Uses 44 AI Agents to Automate Cyberattacks, Raising Security Concerns

Japan: Cybersecurity researchers at TrendAI have uncovered a hacking operation involving 44 AI agents that automated activities ranging from identifying vulnerabilities to attempting data theft. The platform, called CyberStrikeAI, reportedly targeted at least 19 organisations, including 16 in Japan, during October 2026.
The findings highlight growing concerns over AI-powered cybercrime, as attackers increasingly use artificial intelligence to accelerate hacking operations. Researchers warned organisations to strengthen cybersecurity measures, patch vulnerable systems and monitor suspicious activities to prevent potential attacks.
