Railway Worker Electrocuted During Electrical Maintenance in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: A railway electrical worker, identified as Sarfaraz Sheikh from West Bengal, died after reportedly coming into contact with a live high-voltage wire at Chaulkhowa in Dibrugarh district on Friday, November 6. The incident occurred while he was engaged in railway electrical maintenance work.

According to local reports, the power supply had allegedly not been disconnected during the work, resulting in a fatal electric shock. The incident has raised concerns over safety arrangements and precautions during railway maintenance operations.
