AAP Launches ‘Kejriwal for Assam’ Campaign, Aims to Challenge BJP in Lok Sabha Seats

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), representing the INDIA Alliance in three Lok Sabha seats in Assam, has kickstarted its election-focused campaign, aiming to pose a formidable challenge to the BJP. The party claims to have received an overwhelming response from the public following the campaign launch.

As part of their Lok Sabha election strategy, AAP will initiate the ‘Kejriwal for Assam’ campaign in the Guwahati, Dibrugarh, and Sonitpur constituencies. The 10-day drive, starting at Shishu Udyan in Beltola, Guwahati, will involve 7,000 volunteers visiting all wards and hamlets, conducting public meetings to connect with the electorate.

Dr. Bhaben Chowdhury, AAP Assam president and candidate for the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency, emphasized the significance of providing an alternative to the people. He released a brochure featuring a letter from AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to the people of Assam.

Dr. Chowdhury stated, “People now see that the country will not progress under the BJP, which has put out the red carpet for powerful and crooked political personalities engaged in significant scandals in the country; hence, they are looking for an alternative.” He asserted that AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, is viewed as a viable option for steering India towards progress, and the party is contesting the election with a clear goal, purpose, and determination.
