AASU Calls Statewide Candlelight Vigil in Support of Sonam Wangchuk

Guwahati: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has announced a statewide candlelight vigil on Sunday evening in support of educationist Sonam Wangchuk’s protest and condemned his alleged forcible removal from the hunger strike site at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

AASU said the protest is linked to students’ future and called on the government to resolve the issue through dialogue while respecting peaceful democratic movements.
