AASU Demands End to Flawed Assamese Translations in Advertisements

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has condemned inaccurate translations and mispronunciations in Assamese advertisements, calling them disrespectful to the Classical Language.
AASU urged the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to halt such flawed messages and mandate accurate translations through qualified local experts. The issue gained attention after a poorly translated “cyber security” awareness message caused public anger.
AASU leaders demanded a ban on erroneous Assamese advertisements and called for urgent government action to protect the language’s dignity and ensure correct usage.
