AASU Demands Withdrawal of SOP Restricting Visiting Hours at Zubeen Garg Memorial

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has urged the state government to revoke the SOP limiting public visits to Zubeen Kshetra between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., calling it “unnecessary and insensitive.” AASU President Utpal Sarma said the restriction disrespects fans’ emotions and suggested better management and security instead. He emphasized that Zubeen Garg’s memorial is a symbol of collective grief and should remain open round the clock.
