AASU General Secretary Faces FIR for Alleged Cheating and Assault

A student from University Law College, Gauhati University, has filed an FIR against Sankor Jyoti Baruah, General Secretary of AASU, at Bhangagarh Police Station. The student alleges that Baruah, with whom she had a three-and-a-half-year relationship, promised to marry her but later assaulted and threatened her. She claims he abruptly cut off contact, causing her mental trauma and public humiliation.
