AASU Honours Ratneswar Moran with Pratima Baruah Pandey Memorial Award

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on Saturday conferred the Pratima Baruah Pandey Memorial Award 2025 on noted folk culture exponent Ratneswar Moran at Swahid Udyan in Chandmari.

Moran expressed gratitude and pledged to continue preserving Moran and Assamese folk traditions. AASU president Utpal Sarma praised his five-decade contribution, while chief advisor Samujjal Bhattacharjya called for completing the reconstruction of Pratima Baruah Pandey’s ancestral home and proposed a university chair in her name.
