AASU Seeks Lasting Honours for Bhupen Hazarika on Centenary

On Bhupen Hazarika’s birth centenary, AASU demanded a train named after him, expansion of his memorial, recognition in waterways, and making Manuhe Manuhor Babe compulsory in schools. They also proposed a welfare scheme in his name. AASU’s “Uddipana” programme saw 100 students perform his iconic song across districts.
