AASU Unveils Protest Strategy Against CAA Implementation in Assam

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has revealed its protest strategy against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), announcing a series of actions to voice opposition to the legislation. Beginning with the hoisting of black flags at various public places on March 14, the protest will intensify on March 15 with rallies and Satyagraha programmes in every district headquarters across Assam. Further escalation is planned with an emergency meeting on March 18, bringing together AASU, the Coordination Committee of Tribal Organisations of Assam (CCTOA), and representatives from 30 tribal organizations. The protests come in response to the government’s notification of rules for CAA implementation on March 11, marking continued resistance against the legislation.
