The State Transport Department’s campaign, “Abhiyan Sarkhar 3,” targeting vehicle owners with outstanding taxes is reaching its peak as the financial year 2023-24 comes to a close. Notices have been sent to owners with March 25 as the deadline for clearing dues. Teams led by Assistant Transport Commissioner Gautam Das are addressing vehicle paper-related issues through door-to-door visits. Meanwhile, under Enforcement DTO Himangshu Kumar Das, officials are cracking down on tax evasion. Vehicle owners are being warned about the consequences of non-compliance, emphasizing the necessity of permits, fitness certificates, insurance, and pollution-clearance certificates for vehicles to remain valid beyond March 25, 2024.
