ABSU Holds Massive Rallies Demanding Full Implementation of Bodo Accord

The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) staged large rallies across BTR and Bodo-majority areas demanding full implementation of the 2020 Bodo Accord. Thousands joined demonstrations in Kokrajhar, Chirang, and Biswanath. ABSU president Dipen Boro accused the government of delaying key provisions and announced upcoming protests, including a dharna at Jantar Mantar. The union’s demands include constitutional amendments, ST (Hills) status for Bodos in hill districts, recognition of the BTC, inclusion of additional villages in BTR, and a ₹1,500-crore development package.
