Ailing Elephant Raises Concern in Morangi

Golaghat: An ailing female elephant has been spotted with a large swelling beneath its abdomen while moving with a herd through Daigraong, Murphulani, Rangajan and Rangbong areas of greater Morangi.

The elephant was seen near Daigraong Tea Estate hospital along with a 5–6-month-old calf. The matter has been reported to the Golaghat Forest Range Officer and Wildlife Rescue Centre at Bokakhat.
