AIUDF Eyes Panchayat Polls for Political Revival

After a setback in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, AIUDF, led by Badruddin Ajmal, is focusing on the upcoming panchayat polls to regain lost ground. AIUDF general secretary Haidor Hussain Bora confirmed that the party will contest independently without alliances. The party is mobilizing its network and organizing public outreach programs post-Eid. Key campaign issues include panchayat corruption, flood and erosion, agricultural distress, and discrimination in government schemes. AIUDF is also preparing for the 2026 Assembly elections while prioritizing districts like Dhubri, Barpeta, and Nagaon.
