AIUDF Releases Third Candidate List for Assam Elections

The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has announced its third list of six candidates for the Assam Assembly elections, taking its total to 27 seats.

Key candidates include Sheikh Shah Alam (Jaleswar), Ali Akbar Miah (Birsing-Jarua), Abdul Salam Shah (Mankachar), Farhad Ali (Bhawanipur-Sorbhog), Minar Hussain Mazarbhuiya (Sonai), and Choudhury Hibbur Rasul Usama Mabrur (Karimganj North).

The party is contesting independently after failing to join the Congress-led alliance. Earlier, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal was named from Binnakandi.

The party continues to focus on constituencies where it has strong support. Votes will be counted on May 4.
