AIUDF Unveils Manifesto for Assam, Focus on Equality and Development

The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) presented its manifesto for the people of Assam ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. AIUDF MLA Hafiz Rafiqul Islam unveiled the manifesto at a press conference held at the AIUDF headquarters in Guwahati.

Key points from the party’s manifesto include:

  • Commitment to equal rights and the eradication of discrimination
  • Agricultural policy reforms for the benefit of farmers
  • Efforts to address the longstanding flood issues and erosion of embankments as a national problem
  • Establishment of universities in Dhubri, Goalpara, Karimganj, and other areas lacking higher education institutions
  • Focus on women’s safety initiatives
  • Opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)
  • Rejection of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC)
  • Plans to address the challenges faced by tea workers

AIUDF is set to contest from three Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam: Karimganj, Dhubri, and Nagaon. The manifesto emphasizes a vision for equality, development, and addressing the diverse issues faced by the people of Assam.
