Ambubachi Mela 2025 Begins at Kamakhya Temple

The Ambubachi Mela 2025 starts today at Guwahati’s Kamakhya Temple, observed from June 22 to 26. The temple closes at 2:56 PM on June 22 for ‘Pravritti’ and reopens on June 26 with ‘Nivritti’. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the Ambubachi Mahayog at Pandu Port. Rooted in Tantric tradition, the Mela honors the goddess’s menstruation as divine. Authorities have enforced traffic and security measures for the expected large crowd.
