An elephant in Golaghat, Assam, dies from electrocution

On Sunday, during the ‘Uruka’ celebrations on the eve of Magh Bihu, an elephant in Assam’s Golaghat district died from electrocution.

The elephant died instantly when it came into contact with a live electric wire close to National Highway 39 at Letekujan in the Greater Morangi area, according to reports.
