Arunachal CM Seeks Verification of Reported Chinese Incursion

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said on Friday that reports of an alleged Chinese incursion in the Taksing sector of Upper Subansiri district will be verified with the Indian Army and local residents before any conclusion is reached.

The allegations were raised by the Nah Welfare Society, which claimed PLA personnel had moved near Yaja and Togo villages close to the LAC. However, there is no official confirmation of any fresh Chinese intrusion from the Army or Centre.

Khandu said the government would establish the facts and urged caution over unverified information. The Indian Army had also rejected similar allegations made by the organisation earlier this year.
