Four ULFA(I) Cadres Surrender to Assam Rifles in Longding

Longding, Arunachal Pradesh: Four cadres of the banned ULFA(I) have surrendered before the Assam Rifles in Longding district, the Indian Army said.
The surrender took place during an intelligence-led operation at Chupkhao Track under the Spear Corps. The cadres handed over four weapons, ammunition and other war-like stores.
The Army said the surrender marks a setback for ULFA(I)’s operational network and followed sustained surveillance and efforts to persuade insurgents to abandon violence and return to the mainstream.
