Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad (AJYP) Lays Out Plans for Cultural Celebrations and Activism in Lakhimpur District

An extended meeting of the executive body of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad (AJYP) in Lakhimpur district saw resolutions made to celebrate the 8th ‘Uruka Utsav’ and ‘Bohag Bihu Adarani Utsav,’ along with the organization of a Bihu workshop. The meeting, held at Lakhi Bilash Baruah Bhawan, also focused on strengthening the organizational foundation at the regional level within the district. In addition, nominations were made to fill vacant posts in the district executive committee.

AJYP expressed its stance against the proposed implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and resolved to collaborate with other organizations to intensify protests against the contentious Act. The meeting addressed various pressing issues in the state, including price hikes, increased taxes, rising educated unemployment, and the mega river dam project. Presidents and general secretaries from regional units under the district committee actively participated in the discussions.
