Assam Aims to Boost Coconut Productivity to Compete with Andhra Pradesh

Assam is striving to increase its coconut productivity to match Andhra Pradesh, which leads with 15,964 nuts per hectare. On World Coconut Day, the Coconut Development Board (CDB) urged farmers to use premium seedlings and proper management techniques to achieve self-sufficiency. The event, attended by around 100 farmers and officials, included training, exhibitions, and seedling distribution.
