Assam Announces Flood Relief and Damage Assessment Measures

The Assam government announced damage assessments and relief measures for flood-hit Charaideo, Sivasagar and Jorhat through dedicated teams.

The government has allocated ₹112 crore for financial assistance to affected families, along with funds for education, school repairs and additional Orunodoi support. Road reconstruction will begin in September, while families of flood victims will receive ₹9 lakh each.
