Assam Approves SGST Reimbursement Scheme for Bell Metal Industry

The Assam Cabinet has approved the Assam GST (Reimbursement for Indigenous Bell Metal Industries) Scheme, 2025, ensuring full SGST reimbursement to bell metal manufacturers. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said this will benefit artisans in Sarthebari. Earlier initiatives included a ₹5 crore loan-to-grant conversion and ₹1 crore support under the Tholuwa Udyog Bikash Achoni. The move aims to revive and strengthen Assam’s traditional bell metal industry.
