Assam Becomes India’s Third-Fastest Growing State with 7.94% GDP Growth

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Assam is now India’s third-fastest growing state with a 7.94% GDP growth rate. He credited pro-investor policies and infrastructure investment for this achievement. Assam’s per capita GSDP rose 19% to ₹1,58,807 in 2023-24. The state has consistently outpaced national growth rates in recent years.
