Assam Begins Online Admission Process for Higher Secondary First Year

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has initiated the online admission process for the higher secondary first year, which commenced on April 23 and will continue until May 2. Named ‘DARPAN’, the portal facilitates admissions into various institutions affiliated with AHSEC for the academic session 2024–25. The AHSEC issued guidelines and a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for both students and institutions. Students can submit up to five applications through the portal, and after the publication of selection lists, they can only approve one institution without the option to change. The institutions are instructed not to enroll students from other institutions to streamline the admission process. The registration process for the academic session 2024–25 is slated for August this year.
