Assam book fair begings today in guwahati; Publication Board will present prizes

Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bora, the former president of AXX (Axam Xahitya Xabha), was awarded the Publication Board Assam (PBA) literary award for his book “Inner Landscapes” in 2023. Assam Publishing Company was given the publisher award.

This announcement was made by PBA Secretary Promod Kalita this evening in Guwahati, on the eve of the Assam Book Fair. The literary award from the board comes with a bundle of books, an angabastra, a citation, and Rs 5 lakh. Along with a citation, an angabastra, a bundle of books, and Rs 3 lakh, the publisher receives an award from the board. The two awards will be presented by the board tomorrow during the book fair’s opening event at Chandmari AEI Field.
