Assam Book Fair Concludes with Record Sales and Enthusiastic Footfall

The Assam Book Fair in Guwahati, jointly organized by Publication Board Assam and All Assam Publishers’ and Book Sellers’ Association, concluded with books worth ₹7 crore sold. Over 118 stalls participated, attracting nearly 5 lakh visitors in 12 days.

The event featured sessions on literature, cinema, culture, and history, with noted personalities like Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi and Dr. Nani Gopal Mahanta addressing the valedictory session. They highlighted the fair’s role in fostering intellectual growth and community bonding. Awards for various competitions were also distributed.
