Assam Book Fair Opens in Silchar

The Assam Book Fair has officially opened at Police Parade Ground in Silchar and will run until December 10. The event is jointly organised by the Publication Board Assam and the All Assam Book Publishers and Booksellers Association.

Educationist Dr. Partha Chattopadhyay attended as Chief Guest, while Education Minister Ranoj Pegu presided over the ceremony. Several dignitaries, including GC University Vice Chancellor Dr. Niranjan Roy, were also present.

The fair will feature book launches, cultural events and interactive sessions, with organisers expecting large public turnout.
