Assam Budget Targets 2 Lakh Public Sector Jobs

Guwahati: The Assam Government has announced a target of creating 2 lakh public sector jobs over the next five years as part of the 2026-27 Budget. Along with government recruitment, the Budget focuses on skill development and employment opportunities in sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, industrial production, green energy, animation, gaming, entrepreneurship and overseas healthcare, aiming to prepare Assam’s youth for future job markets.
