Assam Cabinet Reshuffle: CM Sarma Takes Over Health Portfolio

The Assam government has announced a cabinet reshuffle following Parimal Suklabaidya’s elevation to the Lok Sabha. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken over the Health and Family Welfare Department from Keshav Mahanta. Mahanta, who previously handled the health portfolio, will now oversee the Transport, Excise, and Fisheries departments, which were previously managed by Suklabaidya. This reshuffle comes as Suklabaidya steps into his new role as a Member of Parliament.
