Assam CM Announces Progress on Key Road Projects After Meeting with Nitin Gadkari

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced updates on Assam’s road infrastructure after meeting Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Work on the Jorhat-Dibrugarh four-lane highway will accelerate in coming months, with NHIDCL handling the project. Progress had been delayed by heavy rains but will resume as weather improves.

Sarma also confirmed the Centre’s approval of a proposed animal corridor in Kaziranga and shared updates on the Gohpur-Numaligarh tunnel and Baihata Chariali-Tezpur four-lane projects, with proposals set to be submitted soon.
