Assam CM Confirms 14 Dead in Arunachal Truck Accident

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that 14 people from Assam died in a tragic truck accident in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district. Seven others remain missing after the vehicle carrying labourers skidded off a narrow mountain road and fell into a deep gorge.

Sarma said rescue teams are prioritising the search for missing persons and ensuring medical aid for the injured. A team from Tinsukia has been sent to assist. Difficult terrain and poor visibility continue to hinder rescue operations.
