Assam CM Distributes 3,420 Health Sector Jobs, Announces ADRE Timeline

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday handed appointment letters to 3,420 candidates for health sector posts, taking total government recruitments to 1,45,449. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to transparent, merit-based hiring.
Sarma announced that Assam Direct Recruitment Examination for Grade III posts will be held on January 10, 2026, followed by completion of Grade IV recruitments by January 20. He said jobs would continue across departments till February.
The Chief Minister said the government will soon cross 1.5 lakh recruitments and move towards two lakh, citing upcoming projects like the semiconductor industry, Namrup urea plant, and a 3,000 MW thermal power project in Dhubri as major job creators. He also announced a technology-driven transfer system to automate postings and reduce political interference.
