Assam CM Highlights Record Youth Employment Initiatives

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state has set a new benchmark in youth employment, calling it a historic first since Independence. During an event at GMCH, he distributed 385 recruitment letters, bringing the total to over 1,25,000 jobs created, with plans to exceed 170,000 by May 2025. The appointments span multiple departments, including Education and Health. Sarma emphasized that transparent recruitment has boosted youth confidence, marking this as a “golden era” for Assam’s job opportunities.
