Biswanath Police Seize Over 300 Kg of Ganja, Arrest Vehicle Owner

The Biswanath Police seized 314.68 kg of ganja and arrested the vehicle owner in a drug bust on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a Tata Yodha on NH-15 near Sadharu. The driver fled, abandoning the vehicle, which had 22 bags of ganja hidden under sacks of cabbage. The contraband, valued at Rs 1.57 crore, was seized, and a case registered under the NDPS Act. The vehicle owner, Bitul Senapati, was arrested in Lakhimpur the following day. Further investigation is ongoing.
