Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Highlights Key Battlegrounds in Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma outlined the focal constituencies for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing Nagaon, Karimganj, and Dhubri as key battlegrounds. Sarma criticized Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, alleging his disconnect from Jorhat, where he contested from Kaliabor, and questioned his silence on local issues in Parliament. Sarma also claimed victory in Upper Assam’s five seats and campaigned for BJP candidate Topon Kumar Gogoi in Jorhat. During the event, several Congress workers defected to the BJP in the presence of Sarma and other party leaders.
