Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Leaves for Davos to Attend WEF 2026

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has departed for Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 from January 19 to 23. He will represent Assam before global industry leaders and financial institutions, becoming the first Assamese to participate in the WEF. During the visit, Sarma is expected to hold meetings with global investors, join panel discussions, and present Assam’s development roadmap to attract foreign investment. The forum offers Assam a key platform to strengthen its global presence and investor confidence.
