Assam CM to Campaign in Dholai Ahead of By-Polls
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Cachar for two public meetings to support BJP candidate Nihar Ranjan Das ahead of the November 13 by-polls in the Dholai constituency. BJP district president Bimalendu Roy expressed confidence in Das’ victory, citing consistent voter support.
The Chief Minister’s visit is expected to boost the campaign. Earlier, BJP faced internal challenges when Amiya Kanti Das, overlooked for the party ticket, filed as an Independent but later withdrew after speaking with the CM. Around 1.97 lakh voters will cast their votes across 208 polling stations.
